ADDING PROCESS GOALS LINDA LIBERATORE
Attend Conferences and Meet Subject Matter Experts
Similar to webinars not only will you learn about best practices
from subject matter experts in the industry you will also have an
opportunity to establish a relationship. This will enable you to
deepen relationships in new areas and establish ties for follow
up. These subject matter experts most likely have experienced
many different cycles in real estate. For example we have
moved from paper checks to electronic debits or ACH to Quick
Pay and Venmo. SME knowledge includes not only future
trends but may help you reevaluate which of any of your current process may fail during different economic
cycles. Do research prior to the conference and whenever possible introduce yourself via email. This email will
allow for a reintroduction at the conference. If possible schedule time to chat at the conference or schedule a
follow up date. Remember active listening skills are key. Be sure to bring value to the relationship and offer
your time and talents.
With the pace of changes in technology you’ll want to ensure as the landlord you value continuing education
and the implantation of process and systems to streamline your day.
