Regenerative grazing practices — Glenalpine | 页面 5

Field days included looking at paddocks which had seen gains in terms of pasture and species and biomass production.
The cost of production at Glenalpine has trended lower than the average of other ProfitProbe producers since about 2016.
The acquisition of Lucie Station in late 2021 did impact the cost of production in 2022, but the total kilograms produced increased to 765,527 in 2023 from 497,088 in 2022. This increase in production has helped reduce overall costs and further lower the cost of production per kilogram in 2023, continuing the downward trend.
There has been a consistent increase in the threeyear moving average of meat produced( kg / ha) at Glenalpine since 2016( refer to Graph 4).

Meat produced on a per hectare basis is uneven prior to management changes in 2014, with consistency of meat produced evident after 2016( interrupted by the purchase of the additional property in late 2021).
Overall, the implementation of regenerative grazing practices at Glenalpine has led to improved profitability and cost efficiency, positioning the property as a leader in sustainable and profitable beef production.
It is interesting to note the steady rise in the threeyear moving average in comparison to rainfall across time. This points towards an improved efficiency in turning rainfall into kilograms of beef.
