FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER
Short Game Practice Facility Taking Shape!
Ask any low handicapper the secret of lowering your score and they will tell you “work on your short game”. Maybe that is why the
response has been so great to our newly renovated short game practice area. I am glad to see the excitement in our members and it
has been a fun project. When complete I can honestly say Regatta Bay will have the best short game practice facility of any course
in the area. Over the coming weeks you will see the mowing patterns start to take shape and when all is complete it will give the
opportunity to practice every shot. Whether you want to learn to play from the rough or tight lie, a flat chip and run or lofted shot
to an elevated green, bunker shots, 10 yards or 40 yards, all the shots are there. The speed of the green and height of fairway and
rough cuts will be consistent with those on the course so for those of you who want to lower your handicap we hope to see you at
the practice area on a regular basis.
Planning is in process for a grand opening event for the members and as we get closer and monitor the grow-in we will announce
the date but the general target date is Labor Day (September 1) so watch for details in the coming weeks.
See you at the club!
