the property is dependant on oil central
heating. Consequently, underfloor heating
was incorporated into the new ground floor,
in order to provide a more efficient use of
energy. Also, a wood burning stove makes
use of the ample supply of wood in the
area and provides a more sustainable heat
source in the Lounge
Conclusion: This was a relatively small
project, with a tight budget, however it
illustrates what can be achieved, with a
strong concept and careful design. The
client can now enjoy all the beauty of this
stunning location, from the comfort of his
home.
