As I listened to her speak to a crowd of nearly
5,000 people before kicking off the first home
football game in Siena Heights history, with a
backdrop of hundreds of students, faculty, staff,
board members and her own Adrian Dominican
Sisters, I reflected back on my early days at SHU.
I arrived at SHU in January 2006, only a few
months before Sister Peg was named SHU’s
10th president. At the time Siena Heights was,
quite frankly, in transition. We had a president
on the way out, an administration in conve
