Success!
Alumni Join Team Effort To Help Siena Achieve Goal
“Success is dependent on effort” —
Sophocles (496 BC–406 BC), a Greek
dramatist and politician.
It’s a simple statement that rings true
today as we share the wonderful news of
a successful campaign. The Campaign
for Siena Heights University: Education
with a Mission ended Dec. 31, 2003,
at $13.4 million, surpassing our $12.5
campaign goal.
Exceeding the goal was not a fluke; it
was the result of great effort made by
many people. Our Board of Trustees
put forth quite an effort: they contributed 36 percent of the campaign total
or $4,926,488. This group supports and
believes in Siena and their actions speak
louder than words.
I consider them the leaders of a team of
nearly 4,000 individuals who donated
to the campaign. We’re grateful for the
many alumni, friends and supporters
who are willing to help Siena advance
its mission. The generosity of each and
every donor helped us reach the goal.
We’re using this issue of Reflections
to tell you about the accomplishments
made possible by the campaign. I
hope you’ll join us as we celebrate our
success and give ourselves a pat on
the back.
As some of you may already know,
we’re not planning a huge celebratory
event. Instead
