Mind (Cont’d)
As long as one’s mind remains an unconquered enemy, one has to
serve the dictations of lust, anger, avarice, illusion, etc. But when
the mind is conquered, one voluntarily agrees to abide by the
dictation of the Personality of Godhead, who is situated within
the heart of everyone as Paramätmä. Real yoga practice entails
meeting the Paramätmä within the heart and then following His
dictation. - BG 6:6, purport -
For the mind is restless, turbulent, obstinate and very strong, O
Kåñëa, and to subdue it, I think, is more difficult than controlling
the wind. - BG 6:34 -
Lord Çré Kåñëa said: O mighty-armed son of Kunté, it is undoubt-
edly very difficult to curb the restless mind, but it is possible by
suitable practice and by detachment. - BG 6:35 -
For one whose mind is unbridled, self-realization is difficult work.
But he whose mind is controlled and who strives by appropriate
means is assured of success. That is My opinion. - BG 6:36 -
