321183- First Lego League-Lego Robotic ROBOTS. Introduces students to real-world engineering challenges by building
LEGO-based robots to complete tasks on a thematic playing surface. If your school does not have a FLL team, come join this one. Learn how to design, build, and program Lego Mindstorm robots. Use your problem-solving skills for hands-on projects and challenges throughout this course. Includes applying real-world math and science concepts while presenting solutions to this year ' s theme " Mastering Natures Fury " which includes preparedness, safety and rebuilding. Competition is local in early December 2013. It ' s fun, it ' s exciting. This team needs you! Students can choose to be on the competitive team or just learn more. 321185- Creativity Challenge-Odyssey
Show off your creative skills by solving unique challenges. Create solutions to vehicle, art & architecture, structure, or theatrical problems using recycled materials in unusual ways. Class activities include designing and building machines and structures, unique costumes, props and theatrical stuff, writing skits, songs and creating whatever you can imagine to make a story come alive. This is an Odyssey of the Mind program introduction which is a creative problem solving challenge competition. Teams can form for the March regional competition.
