MADDIE does not answer as the father cautiously walks towards her.
FATHER Maddie, I said get up!
MADDIE suddenly bends over as if in pain as giant bat-like wings force their way out of her back.
FATHER
Maddie no! The father runs straight towards his daughter and is nearly two feet away from her when suddenly a monstrous face appears in the place of where MADDIE’ S face used to be and attacks him with a fierce, screeching roar.
INT. CAPTAINS ROOM- EARLY MORNING JACK violently wakes up from his horrific nightmare breathing hard and dripping with sweat.
INT. BRIDGE- EARLY MORNING CAPTAIN JACK ROLAND strolls onto the bridge where MASON has been running his scans all night. The small bridge of the ship is dimly lit making the illumination from the consoles almost blinding to the eyes. JACK is clearly still trying to wake up looking like he hasn’ t shaved in days.
MASON( casually looks behind him, sees Jack and turns back around)
Couldn’ t sleep again huh?
JACK( leans over Mason’ s console)
Never mind that. What do we got?
MASON
( sighs) Same as always Jack. Same as it’ s always been for the past 10 months.
JACK It’ s out there somewhere Mason, and we’ re gonna find it.
