May 5th - Cadual at Real Oviedo
The last game of the season. Real Oviedo look to claim the title while Caudal try to fight off the drop one last time. It could be too late to make either of these happen, which would create a drab match, but hopefully the former proves to be true. We beat Cadual in December via an Alain Arroyo goal seconds before halftime. Cadual are known for crashing in the second half, dropping 10 points in the second halfs of matches. If games were just played in the first half, Cadual would sit in 9th (Oviedo would remain in third). A tough first half will be relieved by a east second half, letting Oviedo enter the playoffs on three points.
Prediction - Real Oviedo 3-1 Cadual
Verdict: 5W - 2D - 0L (17 points out of 21 possible points)
Oviedo luck out by having a relatively easy end to the season, which could see us take the title and/or ride into the playoffs on lots of momentum. Compostela and Racing Ferrol will be the toughest matches, but they could go either way. Despite a devestaing loss to Santander, a league title isn't out of the question yet, and with a string of good form anything could happen.
