It's Time to Rise Again
by Letisha Galloway
Many lessons can be learned from the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Matthew 16:21 says “From that time Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised up on the third day.” Jesus took up His cross and marched toward His death. HE knew that despite His circumstances that He would rise again. He knew that despite the enemies that crucified Him HE would rise again. Jesus had no choice but to rise again because he declared that HE would rise on the third day. The various things that Jesus declared throughout His time here on earth came to pass so Him rising from death had to come true. Jesus spoke life to Himself. A lot can be learned from this. His enemies thought that Jesus was down for the count but HE rose again.
At times life can seem unbearable. It can appear that there is too much for you to bear alone. You are not alone Jesus is always with you. In our darkest most challenging moments HE is there. If you trust Him, HE will be your comfort. It may seem impossible to rise again after a tragedy or difficult situation, but it is possible. For those that believe in Jesus Christ there is hope. The rise after a difficult situation will be difficult due to many reasons but the most challenging will be Satan because he does not desire for you to rise. There are many demons that are assigned to destroy you. Some of the people that you know the enemy uses as a means to keep you discouraged. You must decide that you trust God and pray. With God in your corner you must decide that you are willing to fight the urge to give up and continue.
While in a difficult circumstance you must speak life into yourself. You must declare that you will not defeated. You must declare that you will rise again. You must continually speak life to things that are not as though they were. By speaking life and not death your circumstances cannot remain where they are they must change. When you speak life and words of faith you are allowing God to intervene and change your situation. When you speak words of doubt and fear you are in danger of continuing in the same circumstances. It will be challenging to speak words of faith when you are facing a bad situation or have lost a loved one but it must be done. You cannot give the enemy victory over your life.
It is not an easy task to rise after a tragedy or bad circumstance. While in the circumstance it may appear that things will never change, and things will never get better. In the circumstance we are often overcome with emotion whether it be grief, sadness, and anger among other emotions. If you are brokenhearted give it to God. Psalm 147:3 says “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” For everything that happens God has a reason for it. It may be difficult to understand and accept but there is always a reason. Everything is not meant for us to understand but to simply trust God. Try to refrain from coming up with your own reasons for why things have happened in your life. Proverbs 3:5-6 says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will make straight your paths.” We must trust in God even when we face challenges.
Isaiah 41:10 says “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” God will give you the strength and courage to face your challenges. HE is with you. HE will give you what you need to rise again. If you have made a mistake you can rise again. If you have fallen into depression you can rise again. If you have lost a loved one and have fallen into despair you can rise again. If you have lost everything you own, you can rise again. No matter what your circumstance is you can rise again. There will be people who do not wish you well and want you to remain down but God will not allow it. When you get up your enemies will be astounded much in the same manner the enemies of Jesus were astounded when HE rose from the tomb. Don’t give up. this is not the time to give up. Be encouraged, God lives inside of you and you will rise again.
