Abba Father, thank You for giving revelation. The two great commandments Jesus gave were Matthew 22:37-38 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Thank You for bringing me into your FAMILY through the blood of Jesus. For so long I did not understand the importance of this truth. He sent Holy Spirit to live in me and to teach me all things and to remind me of the things You spoke. Romans 8:15b says “Those who are led by the Spirit of God are SONS of God” and have “received the spirit of ADOPTION or SONSHIP and by Him we cry, Abba, Father”. You have FIRST called me as a CHILD and from that position to serve.
You commended Christ for His service AS A SON. As those who have been raised in Christ, we are also called to walk as sons and daughters. The Church taught me to be a SERVANT of God. A servant walks in very little authority. He does what he is told. Jesus told me to serve from the POSITION of SONSHIP or as a CHILD of God. A son walks under the authority of the father, tending to the affairs of the father, with the authority given him by the father. According to Matthew 28:18 “All authority in heaven and earth has been given to Jesus Christ.” As His body, as those that are raised up in Christ, we are to walk in that same authority, by the power of Your Holy Spirit.
