Are you really hungry? This is a subject I often discuss with my clients. In the last two articles, we focused on getting you started with your exercise program. Now that you've gotten started and you're working towards your health and fitness goals, we need to examine the importance of implementing a healthy dietary lifestyle.

For many years, I have observed people as they get into their exercise regimen. Sadly, I've witnessed a large number of them getting frustrated after many months of exercising and realizing little to no change in their weight or physique. How could this possibly be?

There are a number of reasons this may occur. In my experience, the most common reason is that we often fail to implement a healthier dietary lifestyle to go along with our exercise program. So, let's talk about this.

Are you really hungry? My clients will tell you that I recommend they ask themselves this question whenever they feel hungry. Why? The answer is simple-it's easy to eat too much, even when you are exercising. Keep in mind, just because you feel hungry doesn't mean your body needs food at that moment. Also, just because you're exercising regularly doesn't mean you can eat anything you want, any time you want.

There are a multitude of reasons why we may experience feelings of hunger. One possibility is that we are actually hungry and it's time to eat! That's great we certainly need to eat when our bodies our ready for nourishment.
