Firstly , what can you do to avoid having a loss during loadshedding . This involves knowing when loadshedding will happen and being prepared for it . Then , making sure that high value and sensitive appliances such as televisions and computers are unplugged when loadshedding ends so that potential power surges do not damage these items . The installation and regular servicing of power surge protection can also help .
