Companies need to join organisations such as Business Against
Crime, communities need to band together to combat crime and
households need to involved in their Neighbourhood Watch and
Local Police Forums.

opportunities for investors, for landowners, for developers and
for all players in the property industry. Tapping into these vast
opportunities profitably requires intelligent, smart and sustainable
solutions that no government will ever be able to conceive or
implement.
It is up to the private sector to create truly innovative, sustainable
and profitable solutions. How can the property industry solve the issue
of land reform with innovative, win-win and viable solutions? How
can the property industry address the housing backlog in a way that
spreads the incredible power of property to create wealth among all
South Africans?
All smart investors, innovative industry and business leaders,
progressive communities and caring citizens will realise that this
country faces massive challenges. But they will also realise that these
challenges present huge opportunities for growing industries, for
creating businesses and for entrenching individual prosperity for all.
Let’s not wait for government. It is time for South African companies,
communities and citizens to roll up our sleeves and make this country
work for everyone, and most importantly, for our children.
It is time for us to take responsibility to bring about the changes
needed to place South Africa on the path to prosperity for all. It is time
for South Africa’s companies, civil society and citizens to work together
on a common plan, and the one that is already in motion - and widely
agreed on - is the NDP.
