The
metropolitan
residential
property market is characterised
by high levels of buyer activity,
shortages of appropriately priced
stock and gradually increasing house
price growth. All of this against
the backdrop of weak economic
performance and a seemingly
rising (albeit slowly) interest rate
cycle. Notwithstanding unexpected
shocks, both locally and globally, it
is likely that the prevailing market
conditions will continue for the first
six months of 2015. We will see the
trend continue with sectional title
properties becoming more popular
as a consequence of both security
concerns and availability of stock.
There will be a continuation of local
and global trends concerning mixuse developments.
