RENTAL

Corporate Accommodation

The rebirth of the serviced apartment

A s many corporates tighten their budgets, the cost of booking hotels for long- and short-term stays has come under increasing scrutiny. Alternative forms of business accommodation such as Airbnb have become increasingly popular, however, issues of consistency, security and even cost have left many companies wary of using their services.

THE RESIDENCY
All apartments within The Residency portfolio come equipped luxury perks:
• high-speed wifi;
• fully-fitted and equipped kitchen;
• king-size beds;
• ranging in size from 59m2 for the individual to 134m2 for groups and families.
Enter the often-forgotten option for corporate clients: the executive serviced apartment- long-term accommodation geared specifically to company employees working away from home for extended periods. One group offering this increasingly popular option is The Residency hotel and service apartments. They have been in operation in Gauteng for the past two years, garnering a steady clientele buildup. The Residency continues to see an increase in return travellers, who have made the serviced apartment model their first choice for business accommodation.
“ Our clients tend to be business travellers who need to stay for longer periods of time than hotels can typically offer,” says Alpha Wealth CEO Anton Gillis.
“ A typical hotel room, contracted on a corporate rate, is known to be a small standard room. We offer a room that is double the size, with a lounge and kitchenette for the equivalent price. Our luxury executive apartments not only offer a higher and more spacious standard of accommodation, they are also far more cost effective than executive-level hotels.”
