During this period he also founded a business called moBibar that provided mobile , private and cocktail bar & beverage services for events . His management duties covered General , Operations , Financial , and Sales . The business was eventually sold for a healthy profit and that is when he also decided to relocate from Free State to Gauteng .
In May 2013 soon thereafter he then moved to a company called Logos as their Chief Financial officer ( CFO ). Logos is a world-class distributor of relevant technology across Africa with branches in South Africa , Mozambique , Zambia , Mauritius , and Uganda . They had an annual turnover of over R100 million with over 90 employees .
As CFO , he was part of the executive committee that turned a small business into an international , multi-million-rand organisation . He also created a financial model to manage the entire business and its growth and a costing / pricing model to determine landed cost prices and selling prices for all products .
Journey into property Jaco first became directly involved in the property industry when he built a financial model for his own property portfolio to calculate the Internal Rates of Return ( IRR ’ s ) and cash flow of my various properties . This software has since been developed for his clients to assist them with calculations such as IRR , Gross Rental Yields ( GRY ), Net Rental Yields ( NRY ), Shortfalls , etc .
Jaco ’ s core business today is Prosperity Enterprises which he founded in 2016 already to empower people to build and equip people to protect their wealth and achieve financial freedom through proper structuring and property investment . They do this through property education , structuring , and administration services . Currently , the company helps oversee property portfolios of more than R650 million and his property investment seminars are known as some of leading seminars in South Africa .
