From ‘ tsunamis to triumph ’ - The tenacious comeback kid of property

Rael Levitt , a South African property entrepreneur and former auctioneer , has faced two significant " tsunamis " in his life . The first , as he recounts to REImag , was the devastating natural disaster that occurred on December 26 , 2004 . While on vacation in Thailand , Levitt experienced firsthand the catastrophic impact of an undersea earthquake , triggering a series of tsunamis that resulted in the tragic loss of over 227,000 lives across 14 countries .
