Rick Brockbank Youth It’s been a great year where our young people have grown in faith, learning to rely on God in all circumstances. Our youth and youth leaders have continued to forge relationships with the ‘Shed’ kids but with all outreach efforts the devil never provides smooth sailing and much prayer is needed to see more young people come into a relationship with us, and ultimately come into a life saving relationship with Jesus. My desire is to see a generation of young people rise in leadership but even more important than that is to see them go on mission for Jesus, spreading the good news of the gospel. This is a challenge for any follower of Jesus but when I look at the young people God has blessed us with I’m excited to think about the future of this community at RBC, and know God has and will work powerfully through us. Youth Camp this year was led by Travis Johnson, who introduced our kids to the ‘Immerse’ experience, where our young people journeyed through the story of God. The use of story and experiential stations was clear and many of our young people saw themselves in this amazing story in a different light. Two of our young people made first time decisions to follow Jesus, praise the Lord! I also look forward to our “Wakeover” event at the end of the year where we expect a large number of non Christian kids to attend where I get the opportunity to share the gospel message with them. I love my job!
