Trust me, if somebody is interested in buying whatever you're selling they do know the value and won't be fooled by overpricing.” Some sellers also try to hide extra costs into the shipping price. ”Nobody is going to buy a necklace that's priced 1€, but the shipping is 20 euros,” she says shaking her head.

Mira thinks knowledge is the key to anything, on eBay as well. The more you know about the item you're selling, the more people will be interested. Buyers will know you're a trustworthy seller when you can tell a lot about your items. Besides title, costs and knowledge, also right timing and patience are things that can help you.

”Listing your items at times when most people are online helps a lot,” Mira tells. In her own experience if you do a ten day listing, meaning your item will be on sale for ten days, you should start on a Thursday night; that way you'll item will be on sale for two weekends. ”Be patient too; most buyers will wait until the last minute to bid so they make sure they'll get the item,” she adds.

”I don't think I could make this my job. I'd eventually run out of stuff to sell,” Mira says with a laugh, ”But all of this sure has helped me a lot financially. I'd suggest everyone who's ever though about trying out eBay or anything similar should do it. You never know what's going to happen. Like they say ”One man's trash is another man's treasure.””
