It had a lot of strings on it and cool harmonies and stuff that was just more heartstrings pulling. The sound really resonated with me. When I heard it, I was like, That’s the sound that I should move forward with. It fits me more — where I naturally fit is a more laid-back and chill place. Straight up pop doesn’t really fit my energy. I love music that’s more mysterious and feels good — music you can listen to in the rain. Music that evokes feeling.
