A day in the Life on an Intelligence Analyst whilst on operations
On operations I provide intelligence to support UK and allied forces . This includes monitoring and analysing situations and producing intelligence products for use by commanders and deployed forces .
Work starts early to ensure that Commanders are fully briefed and aware of all events that may pose a risk to deployed forces in the country of interest . This work includes monitoring of reporting systems , liaison with other agencies and the production of assessments . Team work is essential to ensure commanders have the key information they need to make relevant decisions . The tempo of work is high and dynamic changes occur all the time , making it an exciting working environment . It is both reassuring and comforting to know that your work directly contributes to the safety and effectiveness of UK and allied forces .
