HAIRY DILEMMA

Here’ s something we sat and debated for a while. The price of Everyday hair was due to increase significantly in 2013. But the price of the NEW Euro hair in the blonde shades will be far lower than the existing Euro hair. Which meant the price of some shades in the lower quality hair( Everyday) would be the same as the higher quality hair option( NEW Euro).

We thought you’ d find the increased price of Everyday hair too high. After much head scratching, we decided to discontinue the Everyday hair line at the end of March.

GREAT NEWS

We’ ve secured competitive pricing again on our entire wetline product range, so you won’ t see any increased prices for X-tend cleansing, conditioning and styling products in the new price list.

Our January Facebook competition was massively successful; loads of salons submitted the requested‘ before and after’ client images. The transformations were awesome, we loved seeing your handiwork streaming in. Laura Leanne & Co from Wigan, the winning salon, received over 480 likes and their prize, a new iPad Mini, went down a bomb. The client was thrilled with her surprise gift – a Kindle Fire.

When our very own Marketing & Advertising Co-Ordinator, Lisa Jarrett visited the winners to present the prizes, salon Owner Laura said:“ This will make such a difference to our business, we will be using this to get together a great portfolio of all our work. A massive thank you to everyone who voted, all of the entries were wonderful and we are all so thrilled to have won!”

Success didn’ t stop there. Competition runner-up, the Glitz and Glamour salon in Barking had their achievement covered in a great news feature in local paper, the Barking and Dagenham Post. Salon client Joanna Stevens’ Hair in Recovery transformation took seven hours and two stylists to achieve. Treatment for breast cancer prevented Joanna’ s hair from growing back as usual. Utterly overjoyed at the spectacular result, Joanna was quoted in the paper as saying:“ It was the first time I had looked in the mirror with a smile on my face.”

With 8,000-plus followers and increasing daily, our Facebook and Twitter pages fizz with activity and chatter from salon owners, stylists and hair extension lovers all over the world. From fashion hints and tips to style techniques, there’ s loads going on. We also run regular competitions and winners have walked away with everything from the new iPad Mini and Kindle Fire, to Pamper Kits and Full-head Clip-Ins.

Facebook and Twitter are great ways of keeping in touch with like-minded Racooninstas and bagging loads of goodies in the process!

Talking of social media, coming soon is a greater presence on the Pinterest site which is positively jam-packed with visual inspiration.
