The spotlight of the day fell on the AI-driven Multi Vi system, introduced by Andries Bekker, Eco Solutions general manager for LG Electronics South Africa. Bekker explained that the system represents a new chapter in HVAC thinking – one where air conditioners can‘ learn, predict and adapt’ automatically to environmental conditions.
The audience responded with keen interest during the demonstrations, particularly when Bekker noted that the product had been field-tested across South Africa for a full year from Durban’ s coastal humidity to Johannesburg’ s crisp winters.“ We wanted to prove that this isn’ t just technology made for elsewhere. It’ s engineered for Africa,” he said.

energy savings in pilot installations such as McDonald’ s outlets in Cape Town. With rising energy costs and increasing sustainability requirements across southern Africa, LG’ s message was clear: smart technology and adaptive design are the way forward.
As Bekker summed it up,“ True innovation isn’ t about more complexity – it’ s about comfort, reliability and intelligence that works for you.”
With the launch of the Multi Vi, the new inverter rooftop units, and LG’ s advanced control ecosystem, the company reinforced its position as a leader in shaping the region’ s next generation of air solutions. RACA events and exhibitions
