LG SHOWCASES AI-POWERED HVAC INNOVATION AT SA LAUNCH

LG Electronics South Africa rolled out the red carpet for the HVAC industry in October, hosting an energetic product launch that blended innovation, insight and a clear message: the future of cooling and heating in Africa is smarter, greener and designed for local realities.
The event brought together contractors, distributors, consultants and industry leaders for an immersive day of technology demonstrations and live presentations. Against the backdrop of Midrand’ s skyline, LG reaffirmed its commitment to the African market – not just by importing global technology, but by localising it for the continent’ s diverse climates and infrastructure challenges.
Opening proceedings, Patrick Jung, product director for LG Energy South Africa, welcomed guests with an overview of the company’ s latest portfolio. Having spent the past two years tailoring LG’ s international HVAC and energy solutions to South African needs, Jung described the launch as a milestone in“ bringing world-class innovation home”.
Among the products unveiled were:
• The LG Multi Vi VRF system, the company’ s new flagship solution and the sixth generation in the Multi V line, now powered by artificial intelligence
• Next-generation inverter rooftop package units, designed to deliver high performance, low energy consumption and resilience against local grid fluctuations
