EXPANDS TO NEW OFFICES

Having had a presence on the local market for more than 25 years , the move is indicative of the business continuing to take strides in growing their footprint .
Since 2014 , Seeley International , the Australian evaporative cooling manufacturer , has had a direct presence on the local market . Before , the brand was sold through another distribution channel from 1994 . Initially heavily focused on the residential sector , the company has been gaining traction in both the commercial , light industrial and agri sectors for their products locally through their Climate Wizard solution . Seeley International has a global footprint and employs around 600 people .
“ After the establishment of the local branch , we have grown and done exceptionally well , and foresee that we will continue on this trajectory . Directly linked to this was therefore the need for bigger offices and storage space for our stock . More so , our growth and forecast under the current economic climate , and through the pandemic , has opened the door to create employment opportunities which are desperately needed in South Africa and invest into the sector . Aiding the growth of the brand is the fact that Seeley is the only evaporative cooling supplier that offers both heating and cooling functions which a lot of role-players don ’ t know ,” says Shaun Barker , sales manager : Africa .
The product comes fully assembled from Australia with the intention to cut out unnecessary and tedious processes of assembly , and further to ensure that there is exceptional quality control for clients through focused skill and expertise . Another main aim of the company is to supply a product that is simple and easy on installation for the local dealer network .
“ Having a ducting network already set up to the correct parameters , a complex-free product essentially enables the installation team a ‘ plug and play ’ scenario . Such ease and flexibility have further opened up the use of our product to many more applications where this technology is suited . We have had a lot of success from commercial settings to food processing and preparation , and even cooling in pack houses at farms such as the table grape industry and hospital applications . Fresh air and ventilation have become vital in today ’ s society , particularly with Covid conditions , and we are able to offer this at no penalty to the project in reference to peak demand and energy consumption ,” Barker continues .
The heating function of the brand is achieved through the inclusion of a Braemar gas heater that works in conjunction with the cooler through a single controller and separate duct system . Units can be installed in either the ceiling space or outside . The company is in discussions with the South African Bureau of Standards to amend the current national standards to include the heating / gas aspect of this technology that has been said to be “ a game changer ” for evaporative cooling solutions .
