Student Paramedic Undergraduates( SPU) is a society at Queensland University of Technology for student paramedics. We are in partnership with SPA, Students Paramedics Australasia. SPU( pun intended) aims to make university life more appealing to all students, both academically and socially.
2016 was an exciting year for us, with the inclusion of SPU boat cruise, sports, conference, trivia night, the ball and continuing professional development( CPD) events. You won’ t be disappointed with all these events we have on offer! Furthermore, as a SPU member you’ ll get a subscription to the‘ Response’ magazine, discounts for SPA International Conference tickets and PA events, discounts for SPU merchandise and more! Discounts are worthwhile and you’ ll get the cost of your membership back in no time. Becoming a SPU member is easy and only costs $ 30 for a year. MedRad is QUT’ s largest social club and we accept members from all faculties and universities. Membership with us entitles you to a special card that will gain you access to the hottest deals at various venues across the Brisbane area. On top of this, we host many social events per year including our QUT famous launch party on February 23rd, Hawaiian pub crawl, barefoot bowls, scrub crawl and our annual decadent event of the MedRad ball! If social events aren’ t quite your thing, we also have multiple teams who actively engage in social sport throughout the university semesters. Do you have a passion for wheels? And do those wheels have a car attached to them? Wow! What luck! You have stumbled across QUT Car Club!
QUT Car Club is a community for the car enthusiasts within this fine University. We like cars, HSP’ s and a whole lot of banter. If you’ re asking what makes us so great, then the answer would come from the title. We are a club, and we accept all members even if you don’ t have a car! You just need to share the same love we do. As for what this club does; we do many things:
Social events all year( car meets, BBQs, mountain cruises and cruises to the coast).
Competitive events( sprint days at Queensland Raceways, dyno days) of which we do so to provide a safe and fun experience to gain bragging rights!
