Give students enough time to practice new skills because
in order for new knowledge to be retained across time and
transferred to new context, time is needed for them to
develop the skills properly. Be ready to motivate and
counsel students if they feel they have failed their
objective(s). Give specific formative feedback to students
and create a space for reflection. Be ready to assist
students to reflect on their learning of the online course
being taught and practice essential skills that are
associated with the course. Frame the game so that
students understand how the game supports the learning
goals. Make sure you use other supporting teaching
resources such as study guides, selected readings and/or
videos to enhance students’ understanding of the online
course being taught.
