I wanted the website for STOKER to show the conventions of a typical Indie band: I wanted it to be them that updated posts to the website, to give the feeling of a small band who haven't "sold out" by getting a manager and a website, as this is usually what deters the indie audience from liking a band- becoming corporate.
The website's text and font also ties in well with the indie theme as the font is simplistic, with white sans text on a dark background, typical of the indie genre and its logo.
The text used in my website also demonstrates the band's simulated egalitarianism, that is, the illusion they create that they are on equal par with the audience and rather than having evidently more fame than a lot of their audience, they adress viewers of the website in an informal manner.
