The Awards Committee is thrilled that Dallas Langdon and Marian Langdon were recognised in the recent Queen ’ s Birthday Honours with the Medal of the Order of Australia ( OAM ) for their ‘ service to youth through the Guiding Movement ’. Congratulations to these amazing women who have given so much of their time and energy not only to Guiding but to their communities as a whole .

We also take this opportunity to remind Leaders to nominate young women for the Queensland Youth Alliance Excellence Awards . There are three categories — Leadership Excellence , Community Service and Inspiration . Young women aged between 14 and 25 years can be nominated .
