“ We chose something more comedic and had three grown men throwing petals from bum bags to Another One Bites the Dust ”

Although based in New Zealand ( the family is completed by Sharaine ’ s daughter , and their cat Bruce ), these travel-lovers looked to the Sunshine Coast enclave of Noosa for their celebration .
“ We thought Noosa Springs was just beautiful and we loved that we could take our wedding guests on a journey there ,” says the bride . The couple was certainly thinking big when it came to their event , organising five days of activities and celebrations . “ Wednesday was a dinner party at Rococo and Thursday was our wedding at Noosa Springs ,” says Sharaine . “ Then Friday was a post event aboard the MV Catalina on the Noosa River , Saturday was Daniel ’ s 40th birthday at the Sunshine Beach Surf Club , and Sunday was the farewell drinks at the Noosa Surf Club .” Epic ! Just as the couple planned , the wedding was a fun and memorable journey for their 162 guests , taking advantage of Noosa Springs ’ scenic grounds and events spaces . “ We started in the lovely gardens of the Plateau for our ceremony ,” says Sharaine . “ Then everyone moved to the cocktail lounge overlooking the golf course then down to the Plantation Lounge for our reception and the party . It worked perfectly and everyone had the best time .” The day ’ s funniest moment ? An unconventional take on flower girls .
“ We chose something a little more comedic and had three grown men walking down the aisle throwing petals from bum bags to Queen ’ s Another One Bites The Dust ” says Sharaine . “ Our guests thought it was hilarious and it took away any nerves .” While Daniel chose a chic dark blue suit , the bride opted for a sleek , modern ‘ Harry ’ gown from Made With Love . “ It worked perfectly for a summer wedding on the golf course .” “ We were so lucky with our wedding vendors all being so fantastic ,” she adds . “ Erin Fedele , our makeup artist , was absolutely incredible , our celebrant Emma Homewood told our love story perfectly and kept our guests fully engaged , and photographer Graeme Passmore captured our day so beautifully . He was exceptional and made us all feel so comfortable ” When it comes to lessons learned , Sharaine encourages other couples to ask as many questions as they need in the lead-up to ‘ I do ’. “ Communication is key !” she says . “ Lisa from Noosa Springs was fantastic with this . She was so great at getting back to me quickly with every little detail I needed .” And what ’ s next ? The newlyweds are planning their Bora Bora honeymoon ! Oh , and in case you ’ re wondering why they look so familiar , Sharaine and Daniel are our cover stars ! To ring in autumn , this golddipped celebration was absolutely irresistible .
