 After the Surgery
• Once the dentist is done removing your wisdom teeth, they will dissolve the
stitches to seal the gum. Your dentist will remind you how long the stitches
might take to disappear. Usually, it can take between 7-10 days. In some cases,
the dentist might go ahead to place a gauze in the extracted part and ask you
to apply some little pressure by biting your jaws together for like an hour.
• 24 hours after a wisdom teeth removal you must avoid:
• Drinking alcohol as well as smoking
• Taking hot liquids such as soup
• Rinsing your mouth with hot liquid.
