“The Flight” Saturday morning I wake up and walk downstairs, I can barely hold in my excitement. I have never been to Europe and I could not wait. As I got to the airport the check in line was very long and that was when it hit me. I was very nervous because I had never traveled that far by myself. What if I got lost and miss my flight? So once I got through security I was alone. No one to guide me and help me. I board my México city flight and I realize I won’t be getting to Barcelona for like another 12 hours. The México city is so hectic. I landed and I had no idea where I was. I kept asking people where I needed to go. I was hauling my heavy luggage through a very busy airport and I had to walk all the way across. And finally after like 20 minutes of stressing I get to the check in and no one was there. I sat down alone for like an hour and then I was the first one to check in and go through security. Once I got to the international terminal it was a lot nicer. I found a place to sit down and use their wifi. When they called the flight I bounced out of my seat and ran to the front. I was one the first to board. Thank god I got an aisle seat. As soon as saw the television I scoped out the movies and series. I was not in the mood for a serious so I watched Moana and then after Sing. Sleeping seemed impossible with all the excitement. But I managed. Unfortunately I was woken up by super scary turbulence. I grabbed on real tight to the armrest and my heart was pounding. But luckily I was able go back to sleep. When the lights turned on I was so electrified. When I off the flight and into the Madrid airport I spent a very long time at immigration. I remember thinking that I bet people from the United Kingdom are really regretting that decision now. They have to wait with the rest of us non European Union citizens. The Madrid airport is just as big as México city but not nearly as crazy and disorganized. As happy as I was I realized I still had another flight to take. My flight from Madrid to Barcelona went by extremely fast. After 22 hours of flying I was happy to be on vacation and meeting up with my grandparents who were waiting for me. I was ready to begin my journey in a new country.
