Falling
I quickly closed my eyes for a second and I felt the floor under my feet
and my heart was not pounding. But the next, I feel the earth shake and
and the ground pulled out from under me like a rug. My head was
throbbing and it felt like it is about to break my chest. My stomach
shrank and was bouncing up and down in my body. The wind tickled my
body, my eardrums are about the burst. Every second I got closer and
closer to the ground I felt less nervous. My eyes start to crack because of
the dryness and my tongue felt numb. The sound of the wind and nature
was beautiful though. I heard the birds singing. The wind running
through the trees and it sounded like a melody. As I looked I admired the
clear blue sky, I had never taken the time to look at such great beauty, I
was fascinated by the color and how it became brighter the higher I
looked.
There was not a cloud in sight and the sun was a bright yellow bowl of
honey. I opened my eyes and awoke in a busy classroom full of student
disruption, uninteresting gossip, superficial conversations and pens
clicking. I was back in reality feeling dull and bored and that was when I
missed the sensation of falling.
