Keystone Exams
Scholastic Aptitude Test ( SAT )
Proficiency on the Keystone Exams represent one possible pathway for Pennsylvania students to meet high school graduation requirements . The exams are designed to assess proficiency in the areas of Algebra I , Literature , and Biology . Students participate in these exams at the conclusion of the respective course .

The SAT is an entrance exam used by colleges and universities to measure a high school student ' s readiness for college . The chart to the right depicts the percentage of students in the class of ' 22 that met or exceeded the benchmark for Evidence-Based Reading and Writing ( ERW ) and Math .

Advanced Placement ( AP )
Math
In the spring of 2022 , 537 high school students participated in 1,076 AP exams . AP test scores are reported on a 5-point scale from 1 ( low ) to 5 ( high ). A score of a 3 or higher on an AP exam indicates the student as considered " qualified ," having understood and executed the material to the point where they could earn college credit .
