Digital Transformation Technology-supported learning played a major role in the 20-21 school year - a role that will remain part of the future of education . Staff engaged students in collaborative small group work , independent self-directed work , and direct instruction while virtual . Often , students worked with peers while in different locations with the assistance of the technological tools available to them . The District was fortunate to be able to provide a mobile device to EVERY student , grades K-12 , and every instructional staff member . The devices served as invaluable tools as we explored new ways to " do school ." Teaching and learning will continue to focus on transformative technology experiences . These tools assist students in consuming digital information , assuming roles as content creators , providing immersive hands-on simulated learning experiences with augmented reality ( AR ) and virtual reality ( VR ), and expanding collaborative opportunities in global settings .
