PVF Roundtable – Q1 2026: A Strong Start with Meaningful Moments

The first quarter of 2026 has been both busy and meaningful for the PVF Roundtable. As we reflect on the start of the year, we do so with both gratitude and remembrance.

We sadly lost a true icon in our industry, Sheryl Michalak MacRae, owner and President of Welding Outlets. Sheryl was a trailblazer—especially for the women in PVF—helping pave the way for so many who followed. Her impact on this industry and our organization cannot be overstated. She served the PVF Roundtable faithfully for years as Secretary Treasurer and was an integral part of our growth and success. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

As we moved into the new year, our Young Professionals kicked things off with their first social event of 2026, which brought a fantastic turnout. It’s exciting to see this group continue to grow and engage, and we’re all looking forward to their upcoming Bowling Tournament.

We then hosted our Cocktails & Commerce event, which was a tremendous success. I had the opportunity to walk the show floor, connect with members, and learn more about their companies. It was both informative and fun—exactly what makes PVF Roundtable events so valuable.

From there, we headed west to Midland, Texas, where we had the chance to meet with many great companies and members. The momentum in West Texas continues to build, and we’re excited about the funds raised from these efforts. We look forward to sharing more soon as we prepare to make donations to Midland College and Odessa College.

We then rolled straight into our annual Clay Shoot. While I personally couldn’t attend due to Subsea Tieback, the event was a great success. The networking, participation, and overall execution made it another standout event, and we’re already looking forward to next year.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue the momentum. On April 15th, we will host our first Social Event in Beaumont, bringing more opportunities for connection and growth in that region. Shortly after, we’ll gather for one of our biggest events of the year—our Annual Golf Tournament on May 11th at the Clubs of Kingwood. We are proud to have Weldbend and Ferguson as our Title Sponsors and look forward to another incredible turnout.

It’s been a strong start to the year, and we’re just getting started.
