Community Calendar
One important function of the Chamber is to keep the business community and the residents informed on events and activities. The Chamber website hosts a community calendar for the entire community to access and use. Chamber members and residents can submit information for publication on the calendar. This service is highly recommended for promoting the many social, recreational and civic opportunities that Putnam County has to offer.
E-Billboard
This electronic service provides 2 Chamber members’ with an opportunity to send a quality“ infomercial” to the Chamber email list serve – nearly 800 email addresses. If you have special promotion such as an upcoming sale, a new product or service to offer, e-Billboard can be utilized to get the message out quickly and professionally. A modest fee is charged and a minimal amount of advanced notice is requested to schedule a release date.
Education Committee
This group of volunteers takes action to advocate for education and workforce issues in Putnam County and throughout the region. The committee meets the 2 nd Wednesday of each month at Noon. Projects include encouraging Chamber members to participate in the Portfolio Exposition with the county high schools and sponsorship of the Business Symposium every January.
Empowering Women Conference
This event held annually in the spring by the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce and the Putnam Chamber Network of Women( NOW) focuses on being a woman in business. Speaker topics include leadership, business development and mentorship. This day-long conference is highly recommended for social networking potential, education, corporate sponsorship opportunities and business promotion.
Generation Putnam
Generation Putnam is dedicated to building a better Putnam County. Generation Putnam is made up of motivated, energetic young professionals generally in their twenties, thirties and early forties who are destined to become the area’ s future leaders. Generation Putnam encourages members to get involved and make a difference by becoming active participants in the professional, civic and social aspects of our community. Generation Putnam offers fundraising and volunteer support while also providing members with professional development and social networking opportunities.
