Accomplishments
The Government Finance Officers Association( GFOA) has awarded the City of Port St. Lucie the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its Fiscal Year 2025-26 budget. The award reflects the City’ s commitment to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting, which it has maintained this level of excellence for 37 consecutive years.
In addition, the City received the Florida Association of Public Procurement Officials, Inc.( FAPPO) Award of Excellence in Public Procurement for 2026! The award recognizes organizational excellence to organizations that meet or exceed benchmarks and best practices in the procurement profession.
Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful ' s first Hazardous Waste Collection Day of the year was held March 7 at the Public Works Facility. The events are important opportunities for residents to get rid of potentially dangerous household waste.
Public Works completed the first driveway repair under the Residential Culvert Assistance Program that was launched in October 2025. Hop into spring and join the City for Easter Bunny Breakfast. On Saturday, March 28 from 9:30-11 a. m., kids ages 6 and younger can enjoy French toast, festive goodies and get a photo with the Easter Bunny at the Community Center.
