Ciornei Gabriel Aldin, who records under the mononym
E.R.U.(Emitting Rap Underground), is a Romanian recording artist,
rapper, songwriter, composer, producer, video editor and sound
engineer. A mulit talented individual and a one man band, he
masterminds each step from conception of a idea to the finished
product to produce distinctive rap music and videos. With hit singles
such as ‘Cugetare’ and ‘Sinuciderea sufletului meu’, his music
appeals not only to Romanians but others alike. He frequently makes
high profile appearances at various events and shows in his native
country. He has been greatly inspired by the likes of Chopin and
classical music. It has not always been smooth sailing for the Rapper
who started his career in 2007. Initially he was mocked and people
did not understand him, his music and his message and to add to
that he was blinded and had problems with his knees. This drove him
to hibernate in his studio for nearly 4 years with his only focus,
making music. He used the power of his mind, belief system and self
trust to create music that reflected his perspective on life. His future
ambition is to spread his music internationally but as he says in his
own words, ‘Its not about the destination but more about the journey
itself ’.
