THE SPA SHIFT More announcements marking spa industry players on the move .
● Mindy Terry is named Managing Director of Andurance Hospitality headquartered in Suratthani , Thailand . Terry has also relocated her business , Creative Spa Concepts , to Asia for 18 months to immerse herself in the Asian culture .
● Michelle Gamble is the new Event Director for Questex-McLean Events International . Gamble leaves her former post as publisher of Spa Magazine to help organize the spring and fall SPATEC events .
GIVING BACK
● Spa Gregorie ’ s in Newport Beach , California recently hosted the 5th annual Women are Wonderful : In Full Bloom event . The event featured a beauty expo with more than 50 vendors including Clarisonic , Epicuren and NuFace . Attendees enjoyed service demonstrations , custom skin analysis and facial prescriptions . A portion of the entry fee proceeds benefited the American Heart Association , Susan G . Komen for the Cure , Greet the Day and Working Wardrobes .
OPEN FOR BUSINESS
● The Oaks at Ojai in Ojai , California is in the final stages of renovating their lobby and gallery . During the restoration , original aspects and décor of the hotel built in 1918 were uncovered . The redesign will incorporate a Mission Revival style to help tie the exterior of the building into the lobby . The project is slated to be completed by December 1 , 2011 .
