The Certified Spa Supervisor( CSS) exam is a hallmark within the spa industry, signifying an understanding of basic supervisory skills and indicating a deep sense of commitment and a belief that continued education is fundamentally important in professional growth. It is a foundation to successful leadership, employee engagement and workplace fulfillment.
Many spa professionals have already found the value in the CSS designation. Getting Started Before starting the CSS exam, Glen Ivy gives each applicant the Supervisory Skill Builders Workbooks, a series of nine workbooks covering various supervisory topics like leadership, effective communication, conducting orientation and training, etc. to utilize during the course.
Kimberly Beaver, Employee Services Safety Coordinator at Glen Ivy has successfully stewarded 51 employees at Glen Ivy through the program and has been with the company for 10 years.
