Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa in Lahaina, Hawaii was the recipient of Meetings and Conventions magazine’s 2011 “Gold Key Award” for the property’s impeccable service and event meeting facilities. 2. NuFACE in Carlsbad, California was featured on NBC’s The Today Show for the release of its new product, the NuFACE Trinity. Designed to aid in smoother, younger-looking skin, the Trinity was introduced to hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb by Style editor Bobbie Thomas. 3. The Spa at the Four Seasons Resort - The Biltmore Santa Barbara in Santa Barbara, California has added the HydroPeptide retail collection as well as three new signature facial offerings to the spa menu. Spa guests can choose from the HydroPeptide Anti-Wrinkle Facial, the Brightening Facial or the Advanced Resurfacing Stem Cell Facial. 2 3 4. The Washington Spa Alliance located in Washington D.C. made history on Capitol Hill with a salute to the Nation’s 2012 Wellness Week March 19-25. The pledge to Wellness Week marks the first time the spa community has spoken in an advocacy role with a unified voice on the subject of the nation’s health and well-being. Deborah Szekely, founder of Rancho La Puerta and honorary chair of the Alliance’s board says, “This is a singular time in our Nation’s history when Washington is looking closely at how our country can be happier and healthier.” Washington Spa Alliance members, along with U.S. Congressional representatives Tom Petri and Lynn Woolsey, signed the Wellness Week pledge which vows to make seven specific changes, specifically on breakfast, activity, hydration, nature, sleep, touch and silence. 4 EDITOR'S NOTE: In the March/April issue of Pulse under Member Updates, an item about Hilton Worldwide’s new eforea: spa expansion should have read: Currently, there are 93 under development eforea: spas at Hilton locations throughout the United States, Australia, China, New Zealand and Thailand. We regret the confusion. OPEN FOR BUSINESS ● Tallgrass Aveda Spa and Salon in Evergreen, Colorado unveiled its newly remodeled lower level earlier this year. The lower level was transformed into a quiet, elegant space with both a relaxation area and treatment rooms.
