t the beginning of the year, I challenged
you to become more involved in the spa
community and take advantage of the
resources available to you through the
ISPA Foundation. With the announcement of the 2013
ISPA Conference & Expo theme, I now ask you to embrace
the opportunities that allow our industry to grow and
prosper in the years ahead. The foundation’s mission is to
improve and enhance the value of the spa experience.
Through valuable research and the Mary Tabacchi
Scholarship, we hope to equip our current and future professionals with the
tools and resources they need to grow.
The selection process for the 6th annual Mary Tabacchi Scholarship is already
underway. Over the past six years, the ISPA Foundation has proudly presented
the Mary Tabacchi Scholarship to well-deserving undergraduates pursuing a
degree in spa management. Along with providing monetary aid to exemplary
students, the scholarship recognizes individuals who have the potential and
capability to be future leaders in the spa industry. With the help of the scholarship’s monetary aid and prestige, past recipients are making an impact in the spa
industry by acquiring positions at renowned spas across the country.
There are multiple ways to invest in the industry by supporting our future
leaders. Encourage eligible candidates to apply for the Mary Tab acchi
Scholarship. Learn more about institutions that offer degrees in spa-related
professions and promote their programs. Or, consider making a donation to
the ISPA Foundation to further research and fund future scholarships. It is
important that we promote spa-related professions to the capable leaders of
tomorrow and imperative that we foster the growth of individuals who have
the ability to impact our industry.
By funding valuable industry and consumer research, the ISPA Foundation
hopes to equip our membership with the tools needed to succeed today. By
investing in the future of the spa industry, we hope to help the industry grow
and secure a successful tomorrow.
