● Massage Envy Phoenix offered a free 30-minute upgrade when a one-hour massage was booked to anyone participating in the P. F. Chang’ s Rock‘ n’ Roll Arizona Marathon. Guests simply presented their jersey number or registration form at the time of their appointment. Massage is a perfect way to prepare before a race or decompress after a long run. Take the idea and run with it at your spa by running promotions that tie into marathons, golf scrambles or tennis tournaments.

GIVING BACK
● Clients of Blue Water Spa in Raleigh, North Carolina have donated 100,000 pounds of food to the Interfaith Food Shuttle of North Carolina. The spa has been involved with the Food Shuttle’ s Backpack Buddies program since 2008. The program sends nutritious non-perishable food items home in backpacks to children in need.
