● Rosewood Mayakoba , located in the Riviera Maya in Cancun , Mexico , reopens its doors after a four-week , US $ 1.6 million renovation . Renovations include 18 additional suites created from existing accommodations , a makeover to the resort ’ s distinct dining venues , and an expansion and remodeling of Sense , A Rosewood Spa and its fitness center . In addition to the renovation , new treatment options such as the Mayan Equinox Ritual , the Mayan Garden Detoxifying Ritual and the New Moon Treatment are also added to the menu of services .
● Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Stillwater Spa , located in Bonita Springs , Florida , unveils its US $ 14.5 million renovations for the holiday season . All 454 guestrooms and suites underwent a modern makeover during this extensive remodeling period .

1 . Boyne Resorts / Solace Spa in Boyne Falls , Michigan announces new facilities and amenities for the 2012-2013 winter season . Two of Michigan ’ s largest ski areas , Boyne Highland Resort and Boyne Mountain Resort , have a combined 850 acres of skiable area and 50 additional proprietary Boyne Low-E fan guns for superior snowmaking . New electronic live-time slope signage , increased lighting and extra chairlift capacity have also been added to the slopes . Boyne guests will also be able to enjoy an expanded tubing park , guided winter fly fishing trips , hotel renovations and a new spa at the Boyne Highlands Resort .
2 . MINDBODY , Inc ., located in San Luis Obispo , California , has completed a US $ 35 million investment round led by Institutional Venture Partners ( IVP ). The software company will use the capital to accelerate its international expansion and ongoing product development .
3 . Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts , with headquarters in Hong Kong , announces the launch of its free Android mobile application . Available in English and Chinese , the app is part of its global mobile strategy and an addition to its recently offered iPhone and iPad apps . The mobile apps offer the functionality of the hotel group ’ s website and other features such as location-based services . Future plans include an app for BlackBerry devices .
4 . The Spa at Turning Stone Resort , located in Verona , New York , rolls out a holiday shopping promotion for men . The Oneida Peaceful Journey evenings are designed to make holiday shopping and giftgiving stress-free for male shoppers . Perks include complimentary valet parking , full access to the spa ’ s shop , a soothing chair massage , a drink at The Lodge ’ s lounge and a complimentary dream catcher for every gift wrapped within the spa .
