Our gratitude will ensure the earth [remains] a beautiful, healthy, sustainable home for plants and animals, for me and for you, for our children, and grandchildren, and beyond. P: As founder of MOVING ART, what do you hope to achieve? S: MOVING ART is the world’s first collection of groundbreaking 2D and 3D moving images created specifically as experiential entertainment or fine art for display on digital screens. It offers enchanting escapes from the stresses of daily life, providing a way to connect with ourselves, each other, and the natural world. It transforms your space; therefore, [it transforms] you. And through this transformation—this shift in people’s consciousness—I hope to induce the paradigm necessary to protect the planet. By getting people to fall in love with nature, I hope we will begin to take better care of it. P: You said: “Beauty and seduction [are] nature’s tools for survival, because we will protect what we fall in love with.” Other than film and nature, what’s the one thing you are most in love with? S: Life itself. Beauty directs us to keep life living forward. We protect what we fall in love with; therefore, we are hardwired to keep our DNA moving forward. Taste, touch, smell and color are all designed to manipulate us in a way to enable the continuity of life. P: How do you live the spa lifestyle? S: I [often] do what I call the “Louie circuit”: dip into our solar-heated pool, go into the steam room and take an outdoor shower. I do this as my personal form of meditation. I also love to garden; it helps me maintain my equilibrium. ■ December 2012 ■ PULSE 23
