Dr. Maria de Bruyn ● Dr. Maria de Bruyn and Dr. Lizette Lourens have joined the medical team at Santé Spa in Calgary, Alberta. ● Glenn Colarossi is the new Chief Business Development Officer at WTS International, Inc. based in Rockville, Maryland. ● Shaun Crymble is the new Executive Chef at The Rosseau, a JW Marriott Resort & Spa in Minett, Ontario. ● Jennifer Di Francesco is the new Director of Spa and Sports Club at Toscana Country Club in Indian Wells, California. ● Jim FitzGibbon, President-Worldwide Hotel Operations at Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts is retiring. To replace FitzGibbon, Four Seasons is appointing two new regional presidents of hotel operations. Chris Hart will lead the Asia Pacific region and Craig Reid will lead the Americas. ● John Heffner, President and CEO of CND has stepped down after 14 years with the company which is based in Vista, California. ● Ken Lee is the new Assistant Spa Director at The Spa at The Hotel Hershey in Hershey, Pennsylvania. ● Denise Vitiello has been appointed Vice President of Operations at Trilogy Spa Ventures, LLC based in Phoenix, Arizona. Its five raised garden beds are full of lettuce, tomatoes, beans, strawberries, blackberries, lavender, sage, chamomile, rosemary, Fuji apple trees and fingerling potatoes, among other goodies. Chef Craig Strong tends to the organic garden and also uses the ingredients in dishes at the resort’s Studio restaurant. The spa takes some of the bounty for treatments like The Truly Soleful service which uses rosemary to help with circulation and soothe achy feet. 2 2. Murad Inc. has formed The Murad Family Foundation to improve the welfare, health and happiness of society as a whole. Along with other Murad family members, Hilarie Murad formed the Foundation to enhance the lives of children, veterans, and deserving individuals through healthcare, education, creative arts appreciation, environmental protection and economic relief. Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. announces that New York city is the first, and only, city in the world to boast all nine of Starwood’s distinctive, global brands. The global hospitality company is set to reach 25 hotels in New York City by 2014. They plan to open another four hotels by 2014 including Aloft Brooklyn, an Aloft and Four Points by Sheraton in the financial district, and the second Westin in the area. 20 PULSE ■ August 2011 3
