Pulse Day 3 Issue 4

APOGEE ENGLISH PRESS PRESENTS PULSE 30th MARCH 2014 | DAY THREE | ISSUE FOUR EDITORIAL INSIDE Sleep. The most precious thing in the world when you come to college. Sleep in college, especially a college like BITS-Pilani, is a rare commodity. Many people would kill for some time to sleep just a bit longer. Sleep is a fickle thing, and has so many forms: Light sleep, heavy sleep, sleep due to boredom, lecture hall sleep. Each has its moments. JOHANNA BLAKLEY INTERVIEW Here at AEP we find the drive to go past our usual limits, perhaps because we like what we do. ROTUNDA INAUG THINK AGAIN Sleep time is, perhaps, the most peaceful time an average college student has. The sensation of merely not doing anything consciously – drifting and letting the mind wander as you lie down – has a very soothing effect. However, if events at the AEP booth are anything to go by, they are a time of great joy and mischief. Many weary reporters have woken up to find themselves with coloured toe nails and cat whiskers on their faces. EVENTS But most of all, these few days have shown us just how important and valuable it truly is. Several stumbles, bumps, bruises and incoherent sentences later – some members of the press just crashed. Sleep helps us rejuvenate ourselves and refresh our minds – so the more you love something the more you should want to get in a bit of a regular sleep schedule (something we need to figure out for AEP). After all, you would want to be at your best all the time for the activity you love.
